A New Approach: Sexual and Reproductive Health & Justice Blog

Over the past year, we have highlighted the latest research relevant to reproductive health and justice. While we will continue to spotlight important emerging research, going forward we also plan to feature additional content to keep you informed about projects, programs, policy analysis, and research happening within both The University of Chicago’s Section of Family Planning and Contraceptive Research and the closely affiliated Center for Interdisciplinary Inquiry and Innovation in Sexual and Reproductive Health (Ci3). The Center is a faculty-led initiative launched in 2012, to advance sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice locally, nationally and globally.

The Section and Ci3 also hope to offer perspectives from our faculty, researchers, educators, and health care providers on the current issues in our field. For instance, you’ll learn more about our research to improve reproductive health care outcomes and access, the exciting work coming out of our Game Changer Chicago Design Lab, our research and policy analysis around parental involvement in adolescent health care, and innovative research of topics such as nutrition interventions for endometrial cancer survivors, the experiences of transgender individuals in the military, and the use of digital storytelling to capture and better understand the lives of young African-American men and women residing on the South Side of Chicago.

Thanks to the readers and followers of this blog. We hope you enjoy the new content, and please spread the word!
